When Hitachi Consulting transformed its market-facing website in 2017, they decided that the site should not only reflect its new services and offerings, but represent a new visual identity while maintaining a user experience that ushered Hitachi’s target users towards the goals of the business. As I previously lead the initiative to transform the visual brand, I raised my hand to design the interface that launched with the company’s new website.
“Derick did an outstanding job leading the visual redesign of the Hitachi Consulting website and the difference is night and day from where it was prior to the transformation. Although the website project was one of the biggest initiatives for Hitachi Consulting overall in 2017, the visual design aspect went very smoothly thanks to Derick's creativity and leadership.”

Mockup Design
I designed mockups for every web page based on the wireframes that were developed for key user personas. These pages brought-to-life the transformed visual identity of the company. My goal was to create a beautifully branded experience that guided the user to rich content, ultimately encouraging them to learn more and engage with Hitachi directly.
Brand Experience
Hitachi Consulting’s website is arguably the farthest reaching manifestation of its brand. As such, not only did the user experience need to be human-centered, it also needed to evoke a connection to Hitachi. By taking an active and engaging approach while utilizing our visual design standards, we developed a website that offers an unmistakable Hitachi brand experience.
